Hi Lynda,

Many many thanks for joining us during the roundtable discussion with
UPS - - - - - last Friday.

On Feb 27-28, I joined a regional UPS PR kick off meeting wherein the
Philippines won "UPS Story of the Year", besting 12 other markets in
Asia-Pacific including China, HK, Taiwan, and Japan. We entered the great
story you wrote for us last year---while it was an internal competition, we
secured some bragging rights nonetheless in bagging this!

Our gratitude for all your support and hope to see you again soon!

p.s. the note below came from - - - - - , - - - - - PR's President in
Asia-Pacific, who was one of 5 judges for this competition.

Cheers,

- - - - -

there. although it was not really a writing competition, and just learned about this at the press conference that i attended, still i'm happy because our publication (Enterprise, monthly business-lifestyle magazine, get your copy now!!! [shameless plugging]), now has a sort of an Asia-Pacific mileage that we can brag about.

our editor in chief wants to have "formalization" about this-i agree, personally, a certificate will do (for portfolio), but told him that if UPS will sort of reward us, can UPS deliver hugh grant or pierce brosnan to me? or christopher de leon, hehehe, i'm sure UPS can do that. my boss just laughed and laughed.

this is all for now.

New blog

new blog. new purpose.

enough of mushiness (ah, there will be some here, occasionally, hehehe).

but i like to have this for a better purpose-as the blog title says so, (descovrir, if i remember it right, is from the old French, meaning, "to discover." this is also my column's title when i was editor in UST's The Varsitarian) i want this blog to discuss media and society issues, me, us in media and in society, so i can be of better use as an UST AB Journalism graduate and as UP M.A. Media Studies Major in Journalism student (right...).

descovrir starts soon once i'm free.
